Executive Summary

Geolocation system is a real-time cellular positioning solution for handsets using 2G (GSM), 3G (UMTS) and 4G (LTE) networks. The solution plays a key role in enabling governmental authorities to retrieve the location of local cellular handsets in cases of emergency and for search and rescue missions.

Geolocation system is based on an advanced GMLC core infrastructure and is presented on an intuitive user interface for quick and easy positioning of cellular handsets.

BASIC QUERIES

Basic queries enable Geolocation system users to identify the last known location of a handset based on its MSISDN or IMSI identifiers. After inserting the identifier (Figure 1 – Basic Query Form), the location result appears on the map together with additional handset and network information (Figure 2 – Basic Query Result).

PERIODIC QUERIES

Periodic queries allow Geolocation system users to track handsets over time and automatically send periodic location requests based on a predefined frequency and during a specific period of time.

The results of these periodic queries are plotted on the map, together with the respective handset and network information for each query.
